Take a trip back to the golden age of Japanese superheroes with this circa 1958–1960 Moonlight Mask (Gekko Kamen) Japanese Menko Card Lot of 13! These colorful vintage cards capture the excitement of one of Japan’s earliest television superheroes, featuring action-packed illustrations of the legendary masked motorcycle-riding crime fighter, supporting characters, and villains. A wonderful piece of Japanese pop culture history!

First appearing on Japanese television in 1958, Moonlight Mask (Gekko Kamen) became a national sensation and helped establish the live-action superhero tradition that would later influence generations of Japanese television and entertainment. His mysterious identity, signature white costume, and thrilling adventures made him a favorite among young fans

Traditional Japanese Menko cards were both colorful collectibles and playing pieces used in a popular children’s game. Featuring bold artwork and dramatic action scenes, these sturdy cards often included numbers, symbols, and other game markings on the reverse. Today, surviving examples are sought after by collectors of vintage Japanese toys, non-sport trading cards, early tokusatsu memorabilia, and classic superhero collectibles.

Offered here is a lot of 13 original vintage Japanese Moonlight Mask Menko cards. These ungraded cards are generally in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition, although some fall below that range. They exhibit light to moderate handling wear, softened corners, minor surface wear, and centering issues. Their overall appearance reflects their age and history as children’s collectibles. Please examine the photos carefully to determine the condition of each card.

Whether you’re a dedicated collector of Japanese Menko cards, a fan of classic Gekko Kamen adventures, or someone who appreciates early Japanese superhero memorabilia, this 13-card vintage lot offers a nostalgic glimpse into the colorful world of postwar Japanese entertainment. A unique addition to any vintage trading card, tokusatsu, or Japanese pop culture collection!
